How does buying art from me work?
I am an individual artist not a gallery and so every purchase you make is an individually tailored experience.
First choose the art that calls to you the most. If you are not sure which to pick, feel free to contact me for more details and advice.
Next email me and you will get a speedy response so I can confirm your framing and delivery choices. Please note however you will not get a response on a Friday evening or Saturday or Jewish or Bank Holidays.
(Prices do include framing but please note the Framing Information section below as well as the Delivery time Information).
Once I am aware of your individual requirements I then send you an invoice via either PayPal or Stripe which you can pay by card, either debit or credit. I do not take cash or cheques.
I can ensure that the art is delivered to an address that suits you, on a day that works for you. The art will be couriered to you in careful packaging to ensure that opening it is a delight.
Buying for a special gift?
Please let me know details of the special occasion and who the gift is for, and I can add an individual ‘note from the artist’ for you to give to the recipient.
Framing Information
Prices include tray frames for paintings, or picture frames with picture perspex for original photographic collages. I am unable to courier glass. Picture Perspex is an ideal modern replacement providing a clear view of the art but being lighter and safer. All pieces come with hanging mechanisms.
Many pieces state “Framing to order”. This means that the piece is currently unframed (images online may show a digital frame in an insitu app) and I will arrange framing for you on your order which will take only a few days. I will always recommend the wood colours that suits the work best but will work with you to find a solution that work with your decor if you wish. Alternatively if you wish to buy it unframed please feel free to discuss that with me.
If the piece is already framed then the details of the frame are shown in the piece description. Please note that this might differ from the frame shown in insitu images.
Delivery times and costs
Delivery times will depend on framing requirements but as long as I am in the studio I will ensure a turn around as fast as possible. being an individual not a gallery I may from time to time be away and if so I will still respond to your email and let you know the fastest time I can deliver.
Delivery to the UK is included in the price.
For delivery to any other country, please enquire with your postal address and I will generate a personal no obligation quote.
Returns
Once bought if you change your mind, simply notify me within 14 days then actually return it in the original or equivalent standard packaging (so that it arrives undamaged) within the next 14 days after notifying me. I will then give you a full refund of the price. Sadly, returns outside that time frame are not possible.
In the unlikely event that the art arrives damaged, you have the statutory 30 days to evidence the damage and claim a full refund.
Do you do commissions?
Sometimes! My process is highly intuitive, spontaneous and responsive to what the paint does as I work. I can’t faithfully replicate a sold piece or even promise very specific outcomes on a commission. However, I am generally happy to discuss what you want and then, if I feel I have the time and ability to produce something that meets your brief, will give you a quote. Working to a specific colour brief is usually not a problem. Generally commissions are 15% more than work of the same type and size you may see online because of the added administration. I will offer a reasonable timescale for the work which will depend on size and my capacity at the time
I will take a 15% non refundable deposit to cover the administration and contribution to materials bought for the commission.. If you like the work and choose to purchase it the balance will become payable before delivery. If you choose not to buy it the work remains my property and there will be no further cost to you. This ensures that I can create without feeling under pressure which produces better art, and guarantees that you only buy a finished piece you truly like.
