My bowl making is in a nascent stage. I am occasionally experimenting with paper maché, deliberately contemplating brokenness and fragility. So far these are personal pieces in which I can see my own contemplation of the harm political leaders in the world today are causing and the resilience of the populations beleaguered by them. Amulets, threads and wire act as defiant traces of survival.
