Language Lessons 1

Abstract painting in green showing graffiti marks, aesemic writing and abstracted Hebrew text in gold

Language Lessons 1: Acrylic painting on paper

IN PRIVATE COLLECTION

Neither English nor Hebrew read from top to bottom. By stacking up random, rotated Hebrew letters in partnership with vertical lines of graffiti inspired aesemic writing , this piece invites reflection on the way mankind strived to build meaning even when language is unfamiliar.   A passing allusion to the Tower of Babel, the stacking of language from the earth to the heavens,  might also lead to question about the role language has in the way humans communicate with the Divine.

But you might see something different…. thats the wonder of abstract art!

Read more about the inspiration behind the art and its meaning on my blog post Language Lessons Series: The Inspiration Behind The Art.
